Outdoor Living: Racoons - more wildlife

Well we just added more wildlife today. These are young and there is no mama around. Will these racoons bother my fish pond? Any other problems I should be aware of.

Sherry, you may have to call animal control to remove these guys! But if they find a quiet ...»
place that they can ravage ... they will. Fire crackers come to mind. or even walking out when you see them and don't be friendly. Dont let them think they can live in harmony as close as they are to your home!! I thought the same way yrs ago, till they got in my attic, destroyed my garden and my mother had a couple visit regularly till she noticed her big goldfish pond was empty!! Good luck! They are cute but a real bother and can be expensive replacing what they tearup!! MIcky

Custom Mini Field of Dreams

This project was inspired by my 2 year old son Braylon. Being a former University of Georgia football player from 2003-2007, I wanted my son to be able to experience Sanford Stadium first hand each and every day!

  • Architectural salvage, finds from junk stores and antiques shops, plus off the shelf items from a few Big Box hardware stores come together to create a warm and functional kitchen. 13

  • An antique Hoosier cabinet base makes a kitchen island. A rather large wire basket serves as additional storage.

  • A little styling makes open shelving beautiful and functional. No more wondering where something is--you can see it all. Not show:Even my pantry cupboard has glass doors--I can see at a glance what I need to pick up at the market. I will say I am super OCD and make sure all my labels face forward. I even buy the store brand from one grocery store of all my canned goods because the packaging looks vintage. 2

My new building and back yard.

We had this cellar and shed built into our hillside in the back yard. Big plans for shade garden on one side, and full sun on the other. What to plant? I'm overwhelmed.

We was thinking about making homemade cheese. I researched and Bob made me the press. Than I stared making cheese and I love making it as much as we love eating it.
