Nice idea! Most pallets are made of oak, but I would either sand the crap out of the boards or ...»
run it through a planer to smooth them out. I don't think sealing the wood will take care of your splinters.

I love the mantle! Our fireplace is nice, but the mantle is a puny excuse for one! Very narrow ...»
and I cannot dress it up as I would like because there's no room! I have always told my hubby we need to fix it sopmehow. Where do we look for the foamboard in that size? I could carve that out to fit right over the existing mantle we have.

Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is?

What kind of plant is this? It grows where alot of yuccas grow(hot and dry). I dug it up a month ago and planted it in my flower bed. It has a thick stalk like garlic and it isn't a bulb, it has roots. Thought it is pretty.

Millstone fountain

This is my second fountain in my shade garden. It is made from an old millstone that has a tub underneath. The gazing ball in the background sits on an old tree stump that was retrieved from a river and left to dry a year before we drilled up the center of it for electrical so we could make the gazing ball glow at night.

  • Milk Can & Cow Themed Planter 3

Got Milk???? or better yet, GOT FLOWERS?

Using a milk can replica for my theme, I then painted terra cotta pots to resemble black and white cows. This planter is in the flower garden by the driveway to welcome our guests and family. Thanks to hubby who dug the hole for the rebar, poured the concrete and came up with the milkcan idea. Come to think of it, I really didn't do much except paint and plant. LOL, thats ok, we make a good team

Are they all supported by a stake of some sort or are they connected some other way?
