Our labs dig like yours. We tried many different ideas but none worked and finally let the ...»
dogs have their own hole. I started several hole behind shrubs in the yard and the dogs continued the digging. Now that is their space and the rest of the yard is safe.

Outdoor Living: Are wells good to have around old oak trees?

At this old house there are wells made of rock around the old oak trees. Seems to me that they are not looking healthy & thinking of filling the wells in with dirt. Any comments, suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Weeds grow because small particles of organic debris have been allowed to build up. This ...»
debris can be pollen, grass clippings, animal poop, leaf litter, or even weeds that have been killed with a weed control. Cleaning the current joints like Acorn Landscaping suggested and then follow up with a paver sealer like Douglas suggested to put a silicone seal over all of the pore spaces. Then when organic compounds drift over, you can have better results when cleaning either with water or a blower on a regular basis.
