Bathroom: Can you replace the metal on a shower stall?

I have an old 1970's shower stall with stainless metal trim. I've purchased oil rubbed bronze faucets and towel bars to update the bathroom. I can not change the shower stall because of my tile floor and marble trim around the shower.

  • For budget reasons the counter stayed the same but a new faucet gave it a fresh look.
  • A simple burlap skirt gathered on a tension rod lightens the space without the commitment of painting the cabinetry.
  • I like to use regular window curtains instead of a shower curtain.
  • A simple change like an oiled bronze handle on the toilet gives it an updated look.
