  • This is the before and you can see the marble tub in the right hand side of this picture.
  • We changed the top with Marble and changed the sink to a square.
  • This has to be the prettiest marble I have seen in a long time.
  • The before of his side.
  • Just a real pretty marble.
  • We replaced the old marble on the front of the tub and added glass to match the super sized shower.
  • Our super sized shower.
  • Amazing how just small details can be so large.

Remodeling: Bathroom update???

I need to update a long and very narrow bathroom and keep the tub. Right now it has everything but the toilet in baby pink - ugh. I am willing to lose the linen closet and just have ...»
cabinet space, but all the pink, including the tiles on walls and floor must go. Any suggestions?

Easy Tile Job for Bathroom Floor

This is the slate floor that we installed ourselves. It involved no cutting because we used one inch squares in a 5 X 5 space in a traditional 5x8 bath. This is an easy first tiling ...»
project. We mixed our own grout, because premixed grout gets stuck in the pores of natural stone. The hardest part is removing and installing the toilet, but we needed a new one. We started tiling from the tub, laying the sheets out, removing tiles, and when we were done we covered the small gaps at the walls with baseboard. It is fairly simple and inexpensive. We bought enough product for the space and temporarily laid it out to see how it would work before starting. We used a level and a chalk line to keep it straight. When one buys tile on a sheet the product tells you where it can be installed that's how you know if you can use it on a floor. This would also be a fairly straightforward project with hexagons on a sheet. The hardest part is removing the grout from the surface of the tile, and it takes many washes with a sponge.

Kat, if you have access to a reciprocating tool, this is the easiest way to remove tough ...»
items. You will have to use the scraping blades that they come with, as to try and not damage the floor. Generally these tools have a variable speed on them, so use a slower speed and the caulk should come right up. If you have tile on your floor with a grout, you can purchase a caulk that looks like grout, and it comes in many different colors. You can usually get a swatch at the Home Improvement stores to try and match your existing color. Grout caulk is much easier to use and provides a great look between the tub and the floor, again as long as your floor is tiled....

DIY Scented Bath Salts- very easy and inexpensive gift idea

I have decided this year for Christmas I will hand make 80% of my gifts. So I thought for all the women I give gifts to, I was going to create a spa themed basket. The first thing I made ...»
was the easiest gift ever, Lavender Bath Salts. This smells amazing! I have always used Epson Salts for my bath but never thought that it was this easy to make them scented. I will never buy full price bath salts again! Simple mix together Epson salt, your favorite scent of essential oils and dried flowers/lavender/citrus peel (optional). Takes 5 minutes and costs under $2 to make (if you buy a $1 container or around $1 if you can use an old jar)! I will share many other recipes as the month goes on.

Walmart carries chemically-scented petroleum-based oils; they are not the same thing as pure ...»
essential oils, which are distilled straight from the plants and resins. That process takes a lot of plant material and a lot of work, and costs more than $3 a bottle. If you see oils for $3, you can bet that they are not essential oils, and you don't want to to trust them on your skin and in your bath because they contain toxins. For good essential oils try Aura Cacia, Frontier, and Eye of The Day. I've had really good luck with all of them, and I have sensitive skin :) It's your body, so you want to use good, safe ingredients on it! :)
