Plastic strip around tub

Someone put a plastic strip around my tub years ago. I think it was to keep from caulking. I'm trying to remove it and it has left a gooey, gluey mess with little plastic pieces everywhere! How can I remove it, please!!!???

is. I don't have the large mirror over my vanity either, it is the built in type. I'm not sure what avenue I want to take with that yet. I have shelves that I made above my toilet and I burnt on the sides different sea creatures star fish, sea horses etc. I have the jar with shells and my light fixture is the same the difference is mine is in teal an white. I just found it ironic to see this, nice job.

  • If this is a recurring problem and the staining is chronic, there may be no way to remove the stain as it may have etched itself into the porcelain.
  • Most staining is not that bad and can be successfully removed if you know how but regular toilet bowl cleaners or powdered chlorine based cleansers will not solve this problem. 1

  • The space was originally 2 separate rooms-a tiny toilet, shower, single sink and a vanity area. We removed the wall and 2 closets to make one open space. 3
  • Because this was a total DIY project, we were able to complete a much higher end looking bathroom for $7,000. 1
  • These mirrors (from Lowes) and sconces (from Home Depot) were both very affordable options and I love the look they create in the bathroom. 2
