The furniture has a thin layer of varnish. I know it is thin because my daughter spilled nail polish on it and when I wiped it off the varnish and the color came off the drawer. I want to do it in a matte white/cream. Any suggestions? Thanks
My client wanted an office space that could double as a guest room. We created a space that is not only fun but inspires creativity, since there is a craft closet too..
She likes horses, so that was the inspiration to make it a little rustic with the sisal rug and the wicker shades. But, we also wanted a little bit of an elegant feel. I call it a Robert Redford's rustic, yet feminine and elegant style
My boy is not a toddler anymore. So he was in need of a big boy's room. I found the perfect bedding at Pottery Barn Kids which inspired me to create this whole new look. I started by
building some built-in bookcase cabinets, adding a plank wall and a few Pottery Barn Kids Utility board knock-offs. Oh, and every Nautical themed bedroom has to have a real fish hanging on the wall! Last week, I redecorated our master bedroom for summer. As I was exercising my decorating mojo, I thought it might be a good opportunity to share with you some design rules as well as my personal bests and blunders when decorating this space.
Hi Everyone: It's been 5 years since I bought my condo so, I can't quite leave. The elephant, I mean, the gentleman who lives above does nothing but disturb my slumber. I've tried
EVERYTHING to get sleep and nothing works.
SO, I am yearning to build a soundproof sleep pod over/around my bed. Has anyone done it? Do you have any suggestions for wood, soundproof supplies? Anything?I'm a bit stumped but, it will happen!:)Thanks much.
