I bet you can get this type of glue in either size Kevin. ...»
I know you could get all types in either size when I last used my glue gun. I have some of both sizes. My first glue gun was a Craftsman before they were popular in the craft stores. I did see that you can now get wood glue in sticks again. That's one of the things I used my first glue gun for.

I hope Jimhas seen this and been able to glue his Lazy Susan back together.

Cleaning & Organization: Mopping a slate floor

What is the best way to mop a slate floor? What cleaning solution should we use? We have slate tiles in the kitchen with concrete mortar. You can see from the pictures that the surfaces ...»
of the slate tiles are uneven. They are also porous (water dripped on them is absorbed). I sweep regularly, which isn't easy because of the uneven surfaces. I have mopped once with a Swiffer Wet Jet but I'm not sure whether that's OK to use repeatedly.

Cleaning & Organization: Sewer smell in very cold weather

Does anyone know what would cause a sewer smell in my bathroom just during very cold weather (i.e. under 15 degrees F)? It also happens a little when it rains very hard. Any ideas?

worked great (excellent suction) I purchased the Oxi Clean mentioned by Luci H. above. Thanks Luci. I can't believe how great my carpets look. Oxi even brightened my carpet. The urine smell was noticable when wet but we pre-scrubbed the stained areas with Oxi and also added Oxi to warm water and added in the tank.

Oxi has a very nice smell. Cleaned Saturday and the house is dry now. So glad it's done and cost $32.00 plus $8.00 for (2) Oxi clean containers. Did my whole house for $40.00 Wow !! That's what I call DIY'er Thanks for all the suggestions-some really great ideas.

After the primer, I think any regular latex paint would work, BUT you may want to opt for a ...»
low VOC paint, maybe even a milk paint or chalk paint, which also are very low/no VOC. on second thought, that may be too much work for the inside of a drawer, since you would most likely want to /need to wax or seal over the milk/chalk type paint to minimize flaking. A good latex would work well I believe.

great idea. It is not new, many years old but in perfect condition. But now I cannot seem to get the ink off the fabric. I have tried just washing it with laundry soap, soaking it in vinegar and water, and even tried bleach and water bath. It has not been put in the dryer. I am out of ideas.

to remove, unless you bleach strongly several times, and that will effect the linen badly, so don't do it. Re-using an antique may require further research when fabrics, embroidery, weaving, and crochet or knitting are involved. You have the internet as a resource, use it wisely. :)
