We own cattle (a bunch) and live on a farm that has been in the family for many years. My husband IS the cowboy most try to be. He wants all western in our living room and kitchen....I
want to mix farm/western. Any neat ideas out there. I am in the process of painting my living room. My kitchen has cabinets made of old wood. I really like them. Had them made. We are about to restain my counter tops and add family brands to them. I need ideas for living room. Don't want southwestern or the stuff you see sold in western stores. I have ropes, lanterns, his old wore out cowboy hats I had to beg him to quit wearing. I have 8 grandchildren, so it has to be livable and practicle.
I have many collections of many things. So much so that many are in boxes in storage. Does anyone know of creative and delightful ways to display small ceramics other than the obvious?
C'mon...think guys...I would like to seem more of them without driving my family out with all the shelves. Then...the shelves....there are more law books and my daughter has a room full of VHS movies and over 900 novels in another bedroom. Something has to be done! Thinking of over the door shelving all around the house and removing the wallpaper borders
I have the old wooden oak cabinets and have wanted to paint them white. But my appliances are also all white and am afraid this will not look right. Too much white. Does anyone have an opinion or possible suggestions on this?
I am doing a restyling/makeover of deck with all up-cycled projects. I have a small shutter (half the size of a regular size one). I want to re-purpose it into something useful or as a piece of art for my deck. The theme is retro Americana (Red, White and Blue colors). Any ideas welcome!
Please help me with this living room. We recently purchased this home but I am not sure where to start. It has a huge rock wall surrounding the fireplace but it doesn't go to center of
vaulted ceiling. The large window is off center. The left side of the room has a huge built in bookcase. The right side of the room has a curved brick wall which leads to the dining room. There is a 1/2 wall brick planter separating the living room from the dining room. I like the brick but am not so sure about the rock. My furniture is Queen Anne style so this is really a challenge for me. I would appreciate suggestions. Thank you
I went to an estate sale and saw these. The seller just didn't want them..so i got them off her hands for $3.00. I liked them..but now i'm re-considering.. should I keep them.. if so.. any suggestions on displaying them will be most appreciative.. :-)
