I want to choose an accent paint colour that will work with my roof shingles and vinyl siding. The roof is brown/beige/rust/red and the siding is a light grey with beige undertone. Then
there's this horrible Hardiboard siding covering the foundation that's in a grey with blue undertones (shudder!) I'm going to paint the Hardiboard, my front door and add shutters to the windows.
I'm thinking of Behr Japanese Maple for the front door (rusty red) and white for the shutters. Do I match the siding colour on the Hardiboard? or paint it one of the accent colours? Suggestions please!
ideas on ways to do this that it won't take away from curb appeal, but add to it, such as, extending the top portion into a longer porch, some very low maintenance bushes that really
would not need much care, etc. 3) if original steps going into the house can be left in place would you leave them or take them do away with them? Trying to get a few pictures as requested to load on Sunday/Monday.
I live in NY, have a full sun roof, but can get alot of snow. We are replacing after an Iko "Organic" shingle failed and want to make sure we get the right shingle... also has anyone used Green shingle?
This spring/summer I'm hoping to construct a new front entry for our house. It needs to fit into the neighborhood (very simple designs) yet hopefully give some definition to our front
entry way. Wanna get on the bandwagon and describe or show pics of ideas? ;-) I have many ideas of my own already but wondering if our budget will allow certain ones. We're going to remove the existing cement two-level steps to make it larger (and level!) to have more room for the proposed redesign.
