outline of the tiles themselves. if you were working on a solid surface that wouldn't happen, but I still do think that anything really dark underneath will probably show since what is happening is the paper is becoming opaque once it's wet, but even in my dried finished pics, you can still see that outline, it doesn't bother me either, and the overall look is nice, so no one ever really notices. part of the "imperfections" are actually what gives it character.
And oh my yes, I sure do know exactly what you mean by life gets in the way of your life. lol. If there were only 24 more hours in each day, lol.
