Gardening: Just bought a passion plant. Never saw one before.

What is the best way to care for it, says you can bring it in during the winter months. Right now in a transportable pot, any suggestions?

Here's more info on the variety you have: Epimedium x perralchicum'Fröhnleiten' ...»

One of the great workhorses for the garden, this old cultivar is still at the top of its class. The rich, dark-green, glossy foliage is fully evergreen. Cut the leaves to the ground in mid-winter to make room for the brilliant canary-yellow flowers. When it is finished blooming red stained leaves unfurl, highlighted with chartreuse-green veins. This is one of the best epimedium for use as a ground cover. Once established, few weeds can push their way through the dense root system and thick foliage cover.

Gardening: Best LOW-LIGHT indoor plants??

I need some suggestions regarding some larger low-light indoor plants. I seem to be able to find plenty of indoor plants that require a good bit of light, but not very many low-light. So far, I have only purchased a Chinese Evergreen. Which ones have you all had the best luck with/your favorites etc? Thanks ahead of time!

  • Trumpet vine on the side of the wrap-around porch
  • Wisteria - view from on the porch
  • Wisteria at the front of the house - why can't I find the pics of them in bloom??!!

Gardening: Nervous about cutting my climbers for painting....

When I bought my 1880 Victorian home two years ago, I grumbled about the invasive climbers the previous owner had planted to grow up the porch (a wisteria and a trumpet vine!). But I ...»
became accustomed to the constant pruning required and love the charm they add - particularly when they are in bloom. I'm now getting the house painted, and they need to be removed - at least temporarily. Because both are so agressive, I strongly suspect that if I cut them back, they will eventually return...but have concerns I may lose one or both. Any advice??

wisteria...let it grow back or remove it completely! I agree with the arbor or trellis idea to keep it off the house, but not sure how to incorporate one with the steps being right there...

This plant sheds its leaves in winter and in May bears new leaves then buds then these white flowers with yellow centers. It is a perennial and very hardy. This shrub is very old and does not need pruning.
