Rocking Cradle Garden Bed

I found this darling baby cradle at a garage sale for $5.00. I loved the spiral bars and thought I could use them in something. I just don't know what yet. So in the mean time I made a little garden bed.

Gardening: What is this??

It is growing beside the road, at my neighbors house. It is growing up into a tree. I think its kind of pretty .. but would like to know what it is first, before I go poking around in it.

Baby Cradle Garden Bed

I bought this darling baby cradle at a garage sale for $5. I knew I could find some use for it for now, but I was really after the spiral bars. After my tomatoes, beans, and lettuce are done, im sure I can find another use for this,

It Bloomed! "Iris Louisiana 'Teddy Bear'"

A friend gave me this a year ago and oh, my, it is absolutely gorgeous! Very delicate and really unlike any iris I've seen. I had never heard of "Louisiana" iris. Here is the society's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LouisianaIris

Gardening: Is This a Daylily or Something Else?

Hi, this is a (bulb) flower that grows out back. The stalks are very tall (3-4 feet?) and the blooms are about 5-6 inches across. They're beautiful! Please help me identify them. Thank you!

  • Make a Modern Indoor Echeveria Planter
  • I used scraggly old plants that were looking pretty rough. All you have to do is snip the rosette with one inch of stem and let it dry out of direct sunlight. When roots form, it`s time to plant!
  • Use a cactus and succulent soil mix for the best drainage.
  • Arrange your Echeveria in the planter as you like. Used here: Echeveria runyonii
Echeveria nodulosa
Echeveria 'Perle von Nurnberg'
Echeveria 'Ruffles'
  • Top the soil with polished river stones.
  • And display! This Modernica planter can be set atop the Brazilian hardwood plinth...
  • ...or directly on the display surface.
  • Here is another idea of how it could be planted.

  • Succulent Gardens are easy to create and super easy to care for.
  • We used PVC pipe and cut it at an angle
  • Spray painted with stone paint
  • Fill with pea gravel for drainage and soil. Then planted the succulents.
  • Some of the plants were also planted in the ground.
  • Since there were some questions about Indoor Succulent Gardens, I thought I would add a photo of the one we created for indoors. They do great indoors.
