Painting: Help with Curb Appeal - unsure what color to paint shutters, door, etc

My house has a tin roof that is a burgundy shade, but I think burgundy door and shutters is overkill. Please help me figure out another color that will complement it. I am thinking black ...»
shutters and perhaps a white door to make it stand out more. Thanks!

With this color brick, white or off white is the only color. A photo of entire front would be ...»
nice because it appears to be out of balance. The posts would look great if you can make them a little larger in diameter...are you missing one...it looks a little out of balance...?? The door would be very pretty framed out with impressive molding (you can find some designs on line). Shutters will finish it out, but do not go too wide because the door needs more accent. (also shutter windows on side of house for finished look) I would take up the grass about 6' on all 3 sides of the porch and put in a white fence and then plant miniature shrubs and pots of flowers on both sides! Everything does not have to be done all at once so you can budget as you go along. This place could be magnificent! Or you can put up a fence and hang window boxes on it.

Painting: What paint to use on unfinished pine cabinet for rustic look?

I bought a pre-loved glass & pine china cabinet with a drawer base that had never had a finish and is paint ready, doesn't even need sanding. I want to do a somewhat rustic look in a cream color. I was thinking of a milk or chalk paint so it doesn't end up with a plastic look from todays acrylic latex paints. Can't find online from Home Depot or Michaels. (Anyone know of a store near Spokane, WA?)Where do I find these paints and how to use them? Thanks!

mindful of those around you when mixing "homemade" paints. Sorry I have to jump in since the warning isn't always on the package because drywallers know to wear a mask. ;)

Painting: Vintage Chaise What Color to Paint

Should I paint this it's original white? I also have a glass top table to match. In great shape and the chaise has good wheels. Would it be best in a nice white enamel or a color? The ironwork on the arms and foot of the chaise are great.

Design & Décor: Mirrored Bedroom Wall

Hello, I have a wall in my bedroom that has really become quite an eyesore. The ENTIRE wall is mirrored!! It is 8ft high and approximately 11 ft wide. I have contemplated building shelves ...»
with open backs to let mirror show through. I have also thought of looking at frosting tutorials, and stencilling but STILL have not been truly inspired. Does anyone have any ideas, or finished projects perhaps that they can show me to possibly inpire me with this wall??? Removing it is a BIG pain, and can be quite messy (already went thru that on a wall downstairs living space). These mirrors WERE quite popular in the mid 90's and I never thought I would grow tired of them.....but I have! I also have them in TWO side by side bathrooms on first floor, LOL. The broken pieces and small shards of mirror STILL sit in a very large bucket on my deck because I refuse to throw away. I know I will have an artistic revelation later and want to use in a mural? I don't know, I just know they did cost a lot of money and are very difficult to remove without breaking. So I figure to use that wall to a greater potential, i just have to find a solution to work with it. Thank You Maria Salcedo

I would love to see a photo of the room and the lay out of the furniture. It would really help ...»
to know if there is furniture positioned on the wall. I feel that there might possibly be a way to use that mirror.
