Painting: What paint to use on unfinished pine cabinet for rustic look?

I bought a pre-loved glass & pine china cabinet with a drawer base that had never had a finish and is paint ready, doesn't even need sanding. I want to do a somewhat rustic look in a cream color. I was thinking of a milk or chalk paint so it doesn't end up with a plastic look from todays acrylic latex paints. Can't find online from Home Depot or Michaels. (Anyone know of a store near Spokane, WA?)Where do I find these paints and how to use them? Thanks!

I guess I'm a bit confused as to the opposition of white shutters, with another colored door? ...»
She has white accents, and the shutters would enhance, not do harm aesthetically speaking. The door could be anything, really, due to the yard she has. Even a Grass GREEN!!! It would tie everything together and look welcoming.

Painting: Mirrored Bedroom Wall

Hello, I have a wall in my bedroom that has really become quite an eyesore. The ENTIRE wall is mirrored!! It is 8ft high and approximately 11 ft wide. I have contemplated building shelves ...»
with open backs to let mirror show through. I have also thought of looking at frosting tutorials, and stencilling but STILL have not been truly inspired. Does anyone have any ideas, or finished projects perhaps that they can show me to possibly inpire me with this wall??? Removing it is a BIG pain, and can be quite messy (already went thru that on a wall downstairs living space). These mirrors WERE quite popular in the mid 90's and I never thought I would grow tired of them.....but I have! I also have them in TWO side by side bathrooms on first floor, LOL. The broken pieces and small shards of mirror STILL sit in a very large bucket on my deck because I refuse to throw away. I know I will have an artistic revelation later and want to use in a mural? I don't know, I just know they did cost a lot of money and are very difficult to remove without breaking. So I figure to use that wall to a greater potential, i just have to find a solution to work with it. Thank You Maria Salcedo

Omgoodness!! Thank You everyone for the WONDERFUL ideas! My style is Vintage, Shabby, and ...»
Romantic. I'm working on my bedroom lampshade now. Using cool Walgreen gift bags for cover media because it has cool black and white pattern. The black on the gift bag feels like a velour. For my mirror, I think I will try something with White Lace, and somehow incorporate my other colors of grey, whites, pinks and black colors. I don't have pictures of mirror yet because I have a bunch of boxes in front of it temporarily now. But, I'm reupholstering vintage chairs with fabrics. The pictures are what I'm using for my lampshades. Haven't started that project yet because everything is "STILL" in dream stage. But, I'm getting closer....The Roll of gift paper is reversible and I plan to use it somehow in a mod podge or decoupage project. here are pics of gift paper and bags. For now this is the start. Thanks everyone.

Again, my home is 27 years (new/old) and sits atop a crawl space. Having been under there from ...»
what I can see and where I have gently pulled back the carpeting looks to me to be plywood. My husband and I are nearly 60 and neither of us is in the best of health...but as I said before....limited funds and a lousy housing market for the last 10 years have made ridding ourselves of this behemoth (2450 sq/ft) impossible unless we can redo A LOT OF THINGS....nuff said about our finances or the state of the housing market. We just want to make it livable for ourselves until we can figure out how to get unloaded from this gigantic waste of space for 2 people......

Painting: Vintage Chaise What Color to Paint

Should I paint this it's original white? I also have a glass top table to match. In great shape and the chaise has good wheels. Would it be best in a nice white enamel or a color? The ironwork on the arms and foot of the chaise are great.
