Painting: What paint to use on unfinished pine cabinet for rustic look?

I bought a pre-loved glass & pine china cabinet with a drawer base that had never had a finish and is paint ready, doesn't even need sanding. I want to do a somewhat rustic look in a cream color. I was thinking of a milk or chalk paint so it doesn't end up with a plastic look from todays acrylic latex paints. Can't find online from Home Depot or Michaels. (Anyone know of a store near Spokane, WA?)Where do I find these paints and how to use them? Thanks!

Painting: Help with Curb Appeal - unsure what color to paint shutters, door, etc

My house has a tin roof that is a burgundy shade, but I think burgundy door and shutters is overkill. Please help me figure out another color that will complement it. I am thinking black ...»
shutters and perhaps a white door to make it stand out more. Thanks!

Cindy June 55 Cheapest way is ...»
painting the plywood subfloor, after prepping it. If you want to spend some money on a sample can of paint for the vinyl? Get a small amount of primer, put that down on a 12x12 piece, then paint it and see how you like it. If you think it will be OK, then go that route. Again, ripping it up and painting the plywood will look better.

Painting: Mirrored Bedroom Wall

Hello, I have a wall in my bedroom that has really become quite an eyesore. The ENTIRE wall is mirrored!! It is 8ft high and approximately 11 ft wide. I have contemplated building shelves ...»
with open backs to let mirror show through. I have also thought of looking at frosting tutorials, and stencilling but STILL have not been truly inspired. Does anyone have any ideas, or finished projects perhaps that they can show me to possibly inpire me with this wall??? Removing it is a BIG pain, and can be quite messy (already went thru that on a wall downstairs living space). These mirrors WERE quite popular in the mid 90's and I never thought I would grow tired of them.....but I have! I also have them in TWO side by side bathrooms on first floor, LOL. The broken pieces and small shards of mirror STILL sit in a very large bucket on my deck because I refuse to throw away. I know I will have an artistic revelation later and want to use in a mural? I don't know, I just know they did cost a lot of money and are very difficult to remove without breaking. So I figure to use that wall to a greater potential, i just have to find a solution to work with it. Thank You Maria Salcedo
