Painting: Can someone tell me the paint that glows in the dark on your planters?

It's a spray paint, it was on a post not long ago and now I can't find it. Thank you in advance.

Painting: Vintage Chaise What Color to Paint

Should I paint this it's original white? I also have a glass top table to match. In great shape and the chaise has good wheels. Would it be best in a nice white enamel or a color? The ironwork on the arms and foot of the chaise are great.

I totally agree with Lori J - get the cushions first. Then, paint it one of the colors, as ...»
well as the table and the base for the umbrella. Finally get a couple ceramic pots to scatter around that are either the same color or a complimentary color (look at the color wheel). It should make your heart sing when you look at it. Thanks for the chance to daydream a bit.

Painting: Mirrored Bedroom Wall

Hello, I have a wall in my bedroom that has really become quite an eyesore. The ENTIRE wall is mirrored!! It is 8ft high and approximately 11 ft wide. I have contemplated building shelves ...»
with open backs to let mirror show through. I have also thought of looking at frosting tutorials, and stencilling but STILL have not been truly inspired. Does anyone have any ideas, or finished projects perhaps that they can show me to possibly inpire me with this wall??? Removing it is a BIG pain, and can be quite messy (already went thru that on a wall downstairs living space). These mirrors WERE quite popular in the mid 90's and I never thought I would grow tired of them.....but I have! I also have them in TWO side by side bathrooms on first floor, LOL. The broken pieces and small shards of mirror STILL sit in a very large bucket on my deck because I refuse to throw away. I know I will have an artistic revelation later and want to use in a mural? I don't know, I just know they did cost a lot of money and are very difficult to remove without breaking. So I figure to use that wall to a greater potential, i just have to find a solution to work with it. Thank You Maria Salcedo

  • Cedar bench that belonged to my Grandparents. 1

Painting: Paint an heirloom or leave it natural?

To paint or not to paint? This little cedar picnic bench belonged to my Grandparents. They have been gone since my very early 20's. It's not only vintage but to me it's a family treasure. I'm putting the bench on my porch pallet nook and I just can't decide if I want to paint it or leave it natural. I have already painted a rickity old wood chair that is a fav of mine red so I would probably paint the bench in yellow or blue. (I love bright colors!) Even if I don't paint it, I'll need ...»
to poly seal it because it will be out in the weather. What are your thoughts?

The little bench will always remind you of your grandparents.....no matter what color it is. ...»
When you pass it on to a grandchild they may re-paint or not, but they will always remember that it is a family piece with history. Best of luck and be sure to share the results!

Painting: Painting ceramic tile?

My entry way is a very smooth polished looking ceramic tile. I am wondering if there is a way to paint it instead of replace it to save money.

Leslie, Rustoleum Tile Transformation is one the few ways to DIY. I have been researching this ...»
same topic for several weeks as I am desperate to change the color of our recently tiled bathroom shower walls. There are professionals that say they can do this but it costs more than I can afford. The Rustoleum product isn't cheap but cheaper than the professionals. There is another product that is way cheaper but the reviews say it doesn't hold up to a lot of water use or heavy traffic. Good luck. If you find a great product, I would love to know.
