Where can I get a shower head pipe extender?

I bought a double shower head for my master bath. The pipe that extends from the wall is very high, and I have been unable to find an extender for it. Went to Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. and they don't even know what I am talking about.

If all else fails, contact the manufacturer. Sometimes these folks can be most helpful.

Cleaning & Organization: Sewer smell in very cold weather

Does anyone know what would cause a sewer smell in my bathroom just during very cold weather (i.e. under 15 degrees F)? It also happens a little when it rains very hard. Any ideas?

Home Maintenance & Repairs: For quite a while, my kitchen sink strainer hasn't done a good job. I've been in this house since 1981 and for years it

did just fine. Then, for some reason, it needed to be replaced, so I took the old one to the store and got a replacement. This was just the part that lifts out, NOT the entire part that fits into the sink hole. But it didn't work effectively. It would close up the hole too much when I wanted water to drain out. So over the years I've had to buy others, hoping they'd work better but none do. I have to cock it to one side a LOT to allow water to drain, but then if a dish or something ...»
else in the sink touches the little drain thingie, it closes up and I have to reach into the water again to try to open it enough so the water drains. WHAT is wrong here? Do I have to buy another sink to get a drain that works? I know this isn't a major life problem, but it annoys me to no end. The photo isn't mine, but looks similar and was found on Google.

I have a freestanding corner teak seat in my shower that was ordered from Improvements.com ...»
some years ago. I can't speak on the durability of raising/lowering/stability of attached seats but the one I have has been a good one. It requires little maintenance but does has to be "renewed" about once a year now with a new application of teak oil & sealant. It held up for about 3 yrs on the original finish. You could try one of these first to see if you like them; they are about $90 at Improvements to be best of my memory.
