    bead of calk along the bottom of the threashold (after I put a new 2x6 bottom plate on) and around the entire frame where the brickmoulding would contact. I then sealed the door in, shimmed it out to level, and filled the void with a special expanding foam for windows and doors (won't overexpand).Considering the old door had no caulk/foam/sealing of any kind, this one is much more air tight. It's already made a difference in the temp of that portion of the house.

  • Cut and weed out vinyl from negative space. *Video on how to create cutting file on my blog*
