side of the door. Conifers in the containers would probably work well with the surrounding garden.

You have a beautiful home! Another suggestion - goggle Plascon visualiser. There is a free download which enables you to use photographs of the house, together with their color chart, so that you can try different colors to see which will work best. It is a much simpler method than photoshop. This will at least enable you to play!

  • Our barn doors after assembling them from old oak barn floor boards. They are each 6' wide and 8' tall. The old floor boards came this clean simply with a 3000 psi power washing.
  • We were a little anxious to put them where they belonged - here we have them sitting in the door opening before the roof was even up! :) 1
  • We put a coat of Kilz on the edges - then painted the trim black and stained the interior portions of the door.

How to Fix a Door That Sticks

Do you have a door that is constantly "sticking" in the jamb? If all the screws are tight in the hinge, try adjusting the hinge knuckle. It is much easier then redoing the jamb or sanding one side of the door.

  • Remove the hinge pin from the middle hinge or bottom hinge.

Your correct Phyllis W. The reason the door moves on its own is not poltergeist as some would ...»
think. The door is not level causing the door to swing towards the opposite side of the way its leaning. Some open some close. Unless you're willing to remove the door frame the only method to correct this is to bend the pin in the hinge slightly. If it slows the movement but does not stop, do another hinge the same way. The friction caused by the bent hinge will prevent it from moving.
