Windows & Doors: My neighbors see straight into my house

I live in an apartment building in quite a dense neighborhood. One evening, when looking out my window, I realized I can see evert pixel of my neigbors washing machines driers, kitchens and showers if in the wrong side of the house (The photo attached is just an illustration, my camera just caught patches of light)

This means that all those 200 eyes of my neighbors see all my stuff too.

I would like a bit more of privacy, what you ...»

recommend I do?

I thought of installing curtains, but this would have some side-effects I might not be happy with (cost, forgetting to draw them and loosing a lot of sun light through out the day)

view out and no view into your home. I don't think it is very expensive, and although it can be a DIY project, I strongly suggest you have a professional do the work.

Washing Windows Like The Pros

I cannot take credit for this discovery; however I can tell you that it works! In my opinion this is the best way for washing windows. A cleaning company shared this tip with me four ...»
years ago, I was using glass cleaner, vinegar and newspapers. Nothing I did completely cleaned the window. This is the only thing I use now.

Items Needed for Washing Windows

(All items except the Dawn were purchased at Dollar Tree)

Dawn Dish Detergent

Small Bowl or Bucket

Scrubby Pads

Absorbent Cloths

Squeegee

Steps

1. Place a few drops of Dawn in your container with a couple inches of water.

2. Dip the scrubby pad into the water and squeeze out.

3. Scrub the glass. The Dawn along with the scrubby gets the dirt off and does not leave a residue.

4. Squeegee the window, starting at the top and working down, wiping off the "blade" each time with a cloth.

5. Wipe around the edges to absorb any leftover water and dirt.

Who would have known this is all it takes to get professional results? Give it a try and see if you like the Washing Windows like The pros. http://chaoticallycreative.com/2012/03/16/wa...

I Have a customer with new Pella Windows. You can't use anything in them except vinegar and ...»
water or straight vinegar. No windex, no ammonia, no dish soap. It will leave a buildup. Apparently they started making windows out of new material. I guess that's the reason. But anyway of your windows aren't coming out sparkly clean and look cloudy or a buildup and water spots check your guidelines or google the windows. On my windows this works great!
