Window Seat Turned Storage

My townhome is small with little storage. I had a window seat in my room that was enclosed with drywall and carpet. I removed to top and used a prefab white shelf, hinges and a pull to create a storage area.

Advice:

Measure your opening. If possible, using prefab shelf is the best option. It's strong enough to sit on and already finished.
