"Deadheading" isn't a musical term - it's the name for an essential task in your garden: regularly removing spent

flowers so the plant will produce more. Not all plants respond to deadheading but Shasta daisy, daylily, coneflower and petunia are good candidates.

    The leaves on the lower part of my phlox always seem to dry up and die, while the flower still ...»
