  • How pretty do these kettles make for potted plants?! 3
  • Fab thrift store finds became my targets!
  • A peat moss based potting soil was added, then a little spanish moss to hide the soil, which makes the pots look fuller!

Design & Décor: What can I do with this ceiling?

The old, quality paneling came from my husband's great aunt's house, which is slated to be destroyed. What can I do with the plain, boring sheetrock ceiling to complement the walls, yet not darken the room any more? Oh, and the door needs something, too. It's the same white as the ceiling.

Making a succulent garden in an old birdbath

Upcycled an old, leaky birdbath into a beautiful succulent garden! I mixed about 2 parts compost to 1 part builder's sand and mounded it up in the birdbath basin using small rocks, then added the succulents.http://ourfairfieldhomeandgarden.com

Woodland Themed Nursery

Even though we knew we were having a girl, I was terrified that the ultrasound tech had it wrong and that we were having a boy. My irrational fear led me chose a nursery theme that was gender neutral - just in case! The result was a woodland themed nursery, which has turned into my favourite room in our house. Tools: What is it???

I found this in an old garage and was hoping someone could tell me exactly what it is. Three sharp blades and a foot step on the back. Looks like a spade of some kind.
