We tried to do it on a budget so we did a granite tile counter top and a mosaic back splash.

We ended up using plug molds so you won't see outlets on the back splash making for smooth transition. ...»

We painted the cabinets and had custom doors and drawer fronts made. For a final touch my wife did a glaze treatment on the cabinets.

Custom Kitchen and deck in Morningside

KITCHEN DESIGN IDEAS:

This custom kitchen was created by combining two rooms into one open space for living and ...»

entertaining. The former kitchen was a small galley and only a couple of people could fit in at one time. We also added a 16' foot to a new custom concrete and steel deck off the back of the house.

  • completely Black bathroom..walls, moulding, trim, ceiling
  • Black shower curtain..this is a nice spacious bathroom approx 10 x10..
  • This bathroom was a nice size but the black paint made it feel like a cave
  • Updated paint and bright accessories transform the space into a beautiful bright room.
  • The owner loved Crimson Red--so I used that as my inspiration color to brighten and accent the room 1
  • The extra long shower curtain showcased the high ceilings. The miror over the toilet added depth.
  • A few black and white pictures add life and make the wall space visually interesting.

"Deadheading" isn't a musical term - it's the name for an essential task in your garden: regularly removing spent

flowers so the plant will produce more. Not all plants respond to deadheading but Shasta daisy, daylily, coneflower and petunia are good candidates.

If there is one thing gardeners can do to improve success it's to make sure their soil is loose and rich.

Those of us who live where the soil is mostly clay know to add 2 inches of soil conditioner to any bed we're planning on planting. Soil conditioner acts like a sponge, holding water for dry times. Composted manure, composted wood fiber, pine bark fines and mushroom compost are all excellent additions to a bed - just make sure to use enough.

Gardening: Is there any way to prevent maple seedling from sprouting in mulch?

My planter beds are full like a carpet and I'm tired of pulling them all out by hand.
