Looking to Add an Inexpensive Fun Detail to Your Kitchen?

It's January.

The month of organization. The month when we all start pull out old tupperware lids and ...»

mismatched bowls and plates and an occasional salt and ketchup packet from Wendy's.It can be overwheming. If you just want to make a small change, instead. Why not organize with these fun spoon handles instead? You can stamp them and hang them in under 30 minutes! And so much more fun than a cabinet full of mismatched lids! #MyKitchen

Playroom Progress

Unfortunately we don't have a separate space for a playroom so we have changed our formal dinning room into our playroom. It's a much better use of space for our family. The only problem ...»
is that it's the first room you see when you walk in. And I was sick of seeing all those toys. So I am in the process of trying to make the room look a bit better. I painted the room and have been trying to add inexpensive diy stuff back into the room. My favourite part of the room is the egg basket light I found at an antique store and turned into an overhead light. #Love2Repurpose

Upcycle an Old Dresser

Dresser drawers can hold more than t-shirts and tube socks. Instead of tossing an old, worn-out dresser or passing on a shabby thrift-store find, transform it! With a little creativity, your dresser can easily become a baby-changing table, a kitchen island and even a flower garden. Plus, dressers offer storage solutions for small spaces. Here are five great dresser-transformation ideas.

1) Bench. If you remove the top of the dresser ...»

and all of the drawers, you're left with a perfectly sized seat. Add plywood and some cushions, and you're ready to sit!

Transfer Vintage Graphics & Photos to Wood and Metal

Did you know you can transfer images to wood, metal, fabric, glass, canvas and lots of other surfaces using Mod Podge photo transfer medium? ...»

All you need is a photocopy or a printout from a dry toner printer to create something amazing.

I made a compost bucket, decorated a lazy Susan with a French vintage soap label and created a farmhouse cutting board using vintage images I found online and printed at home.

Check out the eye candy here, then stop by my blog, Atta Girl Says, for the full tutorial.

  • Glass etching cream is inexpensive and fun. Putting stickers on the bottles or using stencils will etch anything you want onto the bottle.
  • I found quotations about water, or the word "water" in different languages, and I was able to etch them just using contact paper, stencils and the glass etching cream.

Upcycling empty wine bottles into etched water carafes

I tend to have a lot of empty wine bottles and corks hanging around. (Don't judge!) So I try to craft with them whenever possible. These were fun to have out on the tables during a summer ...»
