Heating & Cooling: Is it the furnace or the hot water heater that you can buy that converts from gas to electric depending on the need?

I think it is the HVAC where air is electric and heat is gas. Please advise if available at show for inspection.

Kitchens: We need to change our deck/ kitchen area due to recent fire.

If there has never been an exhaust in the kitchen, can we install one now? Also can the exhaust come from an island area? The prior owner said it was there, but I never saw it.

Thanks
