Does anyone know an easy way to create a window seat/ toy box?

I would love to create a window seating area with a hinged toy box for my 2 year old daughter's room. I can visualize it, but would i need to create it?

My garden cupola

A friend brought over some old windows knowing that I would do something fun with them. The outcome? This fun large garden cupola over my septic tank! The roof is plastic ceiling tiles.

Landscaping: Once the stumps and roots from the overgrown bushes are out, we'd appreciate some suggestions for landscaping this home.

White birches like cooler weather....they are most popular in upper New York state and Canada. ...»
They are prone to bores. When landscaping remember to 'frame' your home. Never place large trees in front of windows or doors in the yard. Place them at the 'corners' if you will but many feet away. Certain tree roots will cause harm to concrete sidewalks and driveways. A smaller tree to the left front would be appropriate. Use garden hose to outline the areas that surround the home that you wish to put into landscape beds. Lanscape fabric is not necessary.

  • I was thinking of making a screen...I would re-paint them black gold accenting. Aged black windows with gold showing thru the man-made worn parts. 2

Make a set of book cases. Locate two old doors for the sides and use a 3/4" pcs of plywood ...»
(the kind used for furniture making) and with that use one of the window panes for the door. Place the shelves where the window panes have the wood...a total of 3 shelves. Put small round legs on the units. We made one of these and placed it in one of our bathrooms for towels rolled up and other spa type items.
