It truly is beautiful. Wish someone would come and copy the entire picture to my living room.

  • Then take an old handy dandy toothbrush and start scrubbing the water deposits. The gunk and hard water deposits will start to break off in little chunks. Then rinse with steaming hot water. 1

  • For the guest bath I used an old factory bread loaf pan to make a "serving tray" of necessities for guests. I set this out with a stack of white fluffy towels when overnight visitors come. Just store the tray until you need it! 3

Making Toiletries part of your Bathroom Decor.

I got this little shelf/table at Roundtop Antiques Show Lat year for $20. I love the look of stacked white towels in a bathroom and I didn't want all of them hidden in the linen closet. I ...»
decided to use this shelf next to the shower to store things I wanted within arms reach. You can open the shower door and literally grab a towel or a fresh bar of soap without stepping foot on the floor. Also within reach are q-tips, a basket of wash cloths and a basket of hand towels. It has been very handy, and by sticking to the all white formula, pretty as well. To visit my blog and see more stuff like this click here: http://farmhouseporch.blogspot.com

Love this too !! My hubby refinished our old chipped fomica cabinets and they look pretty ...»
good. It is surprising what you can do when you have very little money (speaking for us). We are left with one big problem. Our big solid oak table without the leaf is still so monstrous in there. He cannot paint oak but our sons hardly come here for holidays at this point. We go to their bigger houses - easier on teen grandchildren too. Puzzled?

Gardening: Can anyone tell me what this flowering bush is?

We've recently bought a new house that has tons of landscaping, but most of it we just don't recognize. We're particularly curious about 4 bushes around our dining room windows that look ...»
like they're going to have giant flowers! Does anyone know what they are called? We've never seen anything like it...

Why plant a tree?

With so many trees being cut down all over the world, I would like to promote the planting of trees. What are some good reasons to plant a tree? Just asking........

you imagine a park without trees? I have seen areas where they are building beautiful homes...but they have torn down all the trees and unless new owners are able to plant...its a sad site, no matter the beauty of the home. Theresa, I don't know how to start a tree from a cutting? Would that work with a silver maple?

Help me Choose the color of our new house

I took a tour of our new neighborhood, and selected homes with paint colors I liked. Which one do you like? See more in the link.

heated floors

I've seen them install heated floors many times on HGTV. We have a concrete slab in our kitchen and it radiates the cold. We've had to keep carpeting in there :( but it is still cold in ...»
the winter. What is the expense of these floors and could they be put on concrete with some other type of flooring without standing above the flow into the next room? Thanks

Paint Some Snowflakes!

How do you decorate when Christmas is over? It's hard isn't it? We have the rich, beautiful tones of Thanksgiving and then fill up our homes with Christmas and then what? ...»

I like to use wintery things - branches, snowmen and SNOWFLAKES! This could be painted with any colors, not just blue. Just grab a few colors that work with your decor and a stencil and start painting!
