  • two old desks.

Furniture: Old school desks

Ive got these two old school desks picked them up super super cheap at a yard sale. They are in perfect shape, the seats fold up nicely. Ive dated them to around 1890.I had them for sale on Craigslist, but the only hits I received were from a couple of "clowns" who wanted to send me a "cheque" and have cousin Vinny swing on by and pick them up. Anyway, Im not sure what to do with them. I do not want to paint them. Any ideas would be wonderful!

I would put cushions on them and place them side by side in a theatre room - snacks ...»
(popcorn/candy etc) could be stored inside desk for easy access.

Staining your concrete patio to look like tile.

I was so pleased with the DIY project on our back patio! I stained the concrete to look like tile. We used painter's tape to create the look of grout lines, and we used a concrete stain from Lowe's to stain the concrete. For a step by step tutorial, just click on the link below.

More Bluebonnets. A LOT more.

This pictures was sent to me by Bernice (for some reason it wasn't uploading on her computer.) It is the most wondrous sight I have ever seen. Many thanks to Bernice's friend Tamara in TX for sharing this picture!

My Pot People

Meet Clay and Terra. I made these two after seeing simular ones on line. I found the "pot heads" at a local nursery. I am still startled when I head to the garden as I forget they are there!

Our mirror mosaic fence. We had a blast creating this. Amazing what can come from a broken mirror mishap.

Our garden patio.

My husband and I removed old shrubs, covered the ground with a weed barrier, added river rock and stepping stones. The Bottle Brush tree attracts bees. The flowers we selected are both perennials and annuals that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. We are visited daily by a family of Cardinals. This is such a peaceful place to relax. :)
