I know B&D has a bit of a bad reputation regarding their tools-at least I've always been told they're poor quality. This particular drill seems to have great reviews from what I can find-which isn't much. I can't seem to find much info regarding this particular drill at all. The ...»

How Do You Get Rid Of Fruit Flies?

We're not talking infestation here, but we seem to have up to 20 persistent fruit flies in the kitchen - regardless of the presence of fruit! Can't figure out where they're coming from! How do we get rid of them? Quick - before we start naming them!

I built a trap! Take a wide mouth jar, make a cone from a sheet of paper, place a small piece ...»
of fruit inside the jar,add a little water, Cut the tip of the cone, leaving a hole about the size of a pea. Place cone in jar, tip down. leave on counter overnite. Take trap outside, lift cone and let the little buggers go!

  • What is it?

Gardening: What kind of flower is this?

A friend of a friend, gave me a start of this, as third in line gift, I didn't get the name of it. It spreads by underground runners and is doing quite well.

Mystery plant growing in my yard

I would really like to know what this is . . .it is not your typical flower - these are teardrop shaped and the petals do not open ( very smooth and compacted )- except at the very top you see a little bit of yellow. This is just one branch of a large plant. The leaves are pointy and kind of weedy looking . . does someone know what this is??

Don't think portulacca would do very good in shade. I had them there until they were about ...»
dead and then moved them to the sunny side and hottest, driest spot.
