  • This hid an ugly spot in the yard that was in my direct line of vision as I sit on my porch....the sound of the water adds a wonderfully relaxing melody as it attracts birds and other wildlife for my pleasure. 9

  • Built in book case made from 3/4" mdf

Built-in Bookcase

Lots of wasted space due to extremely sloping roof lines. The first step was to reframe the opening to allow the bookcase to slide in. Although the wall is not load-bearing, I added a new ...»
header, king, and jack stud. I ripped down a 4'x8' sheet of mdf on my table saw and used wood glue and 2" finish nails for assembly. The bookcase is trimmed out in the same casing as all the doors throughout the house for consistency.

  • I took three old chairs that I found in an alley and pieced them together to make a super unique curvy bench. I used outdoor fabric so that it could be used inside or out.

Three found chairs made into a curvy bench!

I found these three chairs in an alley. I have been hunting three chairs for just exactly this project. These were just exactly what the Dr. ordered for putting this project into action. The arms and legs had to have a little adjustment...but I'm super happy...can't wait to find three more! http://www.dejavuedesigns.com/triple-sitter-... #Bestof2012 ...»
