  • Even with no experience in mosaics or tiling, our bird bath face lift turned out just as I had hoped. Now I'm thinking about all the other things I could do...gazing balls, garden stakes, water fountains, etc. The sky's the limit! 6

Stunning!!! I really would have thought it was Wisteria, but it's Queens Wreath. I've got to ...»
look that up because it's really pretty. I had a Wisteria for many year but, as you probably know, they just take over ever inch of your yard. I had it on an arbor but it got so heavy that it broke it. And it only blooms for a few weeks in the Spring, after that all you have is a lot of green. But the bees and the birds (and stray cats) loved it. Once the arbor broke I had to chop most of it down. It still pops up from the ground every year. This year I thought I would try and stack it and see if I can get control of it. But I love your iron trellis - it makes for a beautiful presentation.

Of the three, I love this one the best. In Washington, D.C. we hardly ever walk bare-foot ...»
outside, even in our back yards - so this one would be perfect for us.

  • So easy to do this! You don't even need elbow grease! http://www.thevspotblog.com/2011/07/cleaning-stove-burners-grates-best.html
  • Ick! (I cook a lot... don't you judge me.) ;)
  • Take the disgusting, yucky burner and seal it up in a big Ziploc-type bag with about 1/4 cup of ammonia and let it sit overnight.

An easy spring cleaning tip for one of the worst jobs in the house!

My stove burners get absolutely disgusting. Sealing them up with a tiny bit of pure ammonia makes it possible to just wipe clean with a sponge. #SpringCleaning http://www.thevspotblog.com/2011/07/cleaning...

Wow, I learn so much from you ladies. I just did a major kitchen cleaning last week. I live by ...»
myself so I don't have time to clean really, really good every night. I washed all the cabinet doors, the dishwasher, frig, pulled the stove top up and cleaned underneath, counters, mopped the floor and tossed out tons of plastic containers. I also put the stove burner racks into the sink filled with hot, soapy water, but it really didn't help any. They still felt sticky and weren't clean when I took them out. But I'm certainly going to try this method as soon as I can. Thanks, you ladies are so helpful.
