Cleaning & Organization: We have Elmer's all purpose glue on a Cement Floor. and Now Friends of Ours want to Stain the Floor and Seal it.

The glue is on the floor at the edges. so what can I use to remove it to stain the floor?

    No it isn't in a glob its flat. and it has been on the Cement since Nov. 2011 I tried ...»
    sandpaper on it. any other Ideas ? thanks everyone for trying to help.
