Electrical & Lighting: A can light in my vaulted ceiling goes in and out randomly. What are some of the reasons it's not working?

I am SO excited. I took your advice and checked the wattage on the bulbs. Yep, 100W. I am ...»
lucky that they have the "turn off when too hot feature." My dad came over and climbed a step ladder to change out the bulbs (they are fortunately near the bottom of the vaulted ceiling, over the tub and shower). Am SO glad I didn't pay an electrician to change my lightbulbs! I know how compact flourescents in them. They should last for a long time, and so far, no overheating. YAY!!!!!! So happy. Thanks to all of you so much for all of your suggestions to my mysterious lighting situation! Really appreciate it.
