Sea Glass Jar DIY

I creating these jars using a homemade modpodge (2 parts glue to 1 part water) mixed with food coloring, water and a little dishsoap. Took me all of about 10 minutes and I LOVE the way ...»
they came out. Placed them in my kitchen window and it makes doing the dishes a lot more enjoyable! ;)

he is a carpender by trade, one jobs he was on was take doen a building,he asked his boss if he could have the windows and some of the wood,he worked overtme to "pay" for them,this shown ...»
before the roof, which is made of 6gag. plastic. This is now the 2nd. year we are using it we did very good last year. will post another when I find it lol He built it all by himeself in 1 1/2 days.

  • Genius recycling for t...
  • Cherry wood cabinetry and granite countertops. We have a "below-the-counter" fridge here as well and thoroughly recommend it for everyday use.
  • Slate was cut to make a brick type pattern for the wall/back splash; also adding the square aluminum to separate the smaller tiles for detail. All done by my honey.
  • This is before, and without the big refrigerator (on the right). The new pantry now holds the fridge. See the wall by the sink? That was take out completely.
  • Overall view. There is also another wall of cabinets and counters next to where I am standing as I take this picture. They are not as deep as the others but are great for serving. The pantry has pull-out drawers the height of the refrigerator on each side. 1

wood, slate and a gorgeous countertop that I was thrilled with when when HE found it! He also put a lot of his own sweat into it with the demo and moving walls, plumbing, electrical, etc.
