  • I painted my propane tank to look like a watermelon with a ladybug on top. 1

My watermelon looking propane tank

Our propane tank is small since it only is used for our fireplace. The propane tank was rusted and unsightly. I painted it to look like a watermelon with a ladybug on top. It is in the shade all the time, so no danger of overheating due to paint.

Home Maintenance & Repairs: I have very little money to update my very old asphalt shingle siding.

Until I can afford the vinyl siding I want, I need to make do. If I can improve the look of my exterior (e.g. paint the existing siding?) then my neighbor might trim his landscaping so I can I partake of the outstanding valley view which I'm currently missing out on. I have a paint sprayer and access to some decent red exterior paint. What do you think?

Purple spots appear on the underside of a new patio cover (GAF roof) when it rains. Both the roofer and a GAF inspector can't figure out what is causing it. They appear in one area of the cover. This same area was getting green spots with rain after their first installation (it leaked and they had to replace it) Now they are purple, many more and much bigger. Time after time this roofer has had to come back to "fix" things that weren't done properly since the initial installation of ...»
