    I prefer to use a penetrating oil finish...like Penofin.

    It is available in many shades and also available in a 0 VOC version.

    work on all type of stuff. The beauty of them is they are pH balanced. Too many people use bleach which is very alkaline and messes up your wood.

Design & Décor: Getting up in years, wondered if I should replace my tub ( never use tub only shower). With a walk in shower.

Told I could never sell house without a tub. Have only 1 main bath and 2 half bathrooms. Not enough room in half baths for a shower

Home Maintenance & Repairs: Chimney bricks falling

Have outdoor chimney that is part of indoor fireplace, during wind storm I notice that chips are shedding away from the face of the top bricks along with some mortar falling to the deck. Don't know what type of contractor to call?

Gardening: I have a weeping lilac tree that was split at the graft during the last storm, the bark seems ok and there is new shuts

coming from the ground of the tree, should I consider it a loss and dig it out, cut the bark in half or wait and see what it does in the spring, by the way it is a dwarf around 5ft from ground up

Gardening: Have these tiny yellow spreading flowers in my lawn, tried to weed but it would takra century, any advice how to kill

Concrete & Masonry: Had a poor contractor that was to do front pad 7x4 with stone aggregate but he left a pile of loose stones over some

type of mortar now I am getting bids on repair, but will it be necessary to bust up entire pad and re build front scratch I am concerned about investing another 2k any advice
