As I live in U.K. it is difficult for me to say, I have only been to Walmart whilst on holiday! I found it great!
Dollar Tree is my most frequent as I can take the littles and get crafts plus pick up lots of things at a bargain but still have to do the math. It is also most convenient (2 miles). Target is second on my list but I rarely go in the store. However, there is a Walmart near me that has been remodeled and I will say it has moved up the list of my go to during the week. Walmart.com is probably where I spend the most because I have free Walmart+ (due to straighttalk cell service) and I can have things delivered free and quickly. So Walmart is improving and moving up the list.
I shop Dollar Tree for basic needs, snacks, shipping supplies, some health products, canned veggies etc. Can't beat $1.25. I do shop Walmart for clothing, shoes, appliances, some electronics, motor oil and filters. I don't like Target.
Weeeelllll, For specific items I usually go to Walmart, low prices, but you have to know how much something costs generally and watch the unit prices, they are a good guide for products such as TP, cleaning supplies, food and so on. Dollar stores for odds and ends or if a small amount of something is needed, good greeting card selection. Not so much at Target, they tend to be pricier, but often if you buy advertised items in a bulk purchase, they do kick back money with a Target gift card.
Target would top my list here but it would definitely depend on what it is I'm looking for.
I would say Walmart first as some of the products beat the new Dollar Tree cost. I do like Dollar Tree for cards, gift bags, and cleaning products. I rarely shop at Target.
Since all three of the stores you asked about are relatively near my home, I shop all three. Overall, I shop more at Walmart than the other two because I can usually find anything on my list there. I have been impressed with some of the changes at Target in the past 2-3 years in the home goods department. It has become more "upscale" and though I don't need new things it's fun to browse through the new urban styles presented.
Hi Amy: I love the Dollar (and a quarter) Tree: ) It has a lot of the things I use for crafts, cleaning, cookies :), cards, etc., all at a great price. Some are around $5 (and going up), but the value is really good. However, you do have to check that the weight is equivalent to what you get at the supermarkets. And, for clothes and food, I like Meijers. They have good prices, too :)
