Upcycled Toys Frame

Ever wondered what to do with all those old broken bits of toys, orphaned figures and cars at the bottom of the toy box. Why don't you upcycle them into a frame and make a fantastic cork board for your child's bedroom.
My son loves this medal board I made for his bedroom using his old toys, he loves identifying the toys he used to play with. It is a unique and personal decoration for his room. He loves having a great place to show off all his medals.
All you need to do is to collect a pile of old toys from your children s bedroom which shouldn't be too difficult. It's a good way to use all those old happy meal toys. You will also need a simple cork notice board. If the frame of your cork board is not very wide you can easily make one (I show you how on my blog).
After deciding on your design, stick the toys to your framed cork board. As the toys I used were a mixture of materials, plastic, metal and rubber I used an epoxy resin type glue.
Once your glued down toys have dried, spray paint your frame in a colour of your choice. My son has a cactus themed bedroom so wanted a bright green board. Click here to see how I made a giant paper mache cactus for his room.
More detailed instructions are on my blog.
