Just finished painting cabinets in kitchen antique white . The floor is travertine tile. The island is distressed black. The appliance are stainless. The granite is yellow, cream with hint of black, gray swirls. What do you suggest for paint for the walls that will include continuing into family room?

Grey - a nice dove grey would be lovely with those colours.

Grey...Most definately a beautiful grey, or if you want more color, possibly a dark red

Try pulling an interesting color out of the granite. But I don't suggest gray that will eventually look dull. Also keep in mind how much light comes in the room, that will totally make a difference.

I love a nice calming blue-green, it will work with all the colored you mentioned.

A warm grey. Benjamin Moore has lots to choose from and their paint is amazing, it spreads so well and goes a long way. Wickham gray or Revere Pewter are good starts. These two look amazing with white trim too. I found these two colors suggested by an online interior decorator who has a blog and she wrote on "greys" for painting walls.

I believe a very faint blue-grey will do the trick. Those are the same colors I'm using withe the exception of counter tops will be black with hints of white and silver sparkles. After testing the color palette,,it turned out just right. Good luck David and please do send a picture!!

It depends upon what accessories you have in your kitchen. If you have colorful accessories, you may want a beige, or taupe, so your accessories "pop."

I would suggest a pale grey. An interior decorated did my kitchen to sell my home and they painted it a pale grey and it was smashing.

Thank you all.for your wonderful comments! The color of my cabinets are more beige-gold than antique white.Since I have to paint the connecting family room with the kitchen walls with dark brown entertainment center,I think the gray paint will not go to good?

Now that you mentioned the dining room, I've changed my opinion,,go with a creamy beige as Linda Johnson suggested or my favorite would be a ligh shade of Taupe. Good luck!

Something in the beige family. Get some color cards from Home Depot and throw them on the countertops. One of them will catch your eye.
