Need ideas for a one armed sofa

Hi! I just got a great deal on this sofa for my daughter's tiny 250 sq. ft. grad school apartment. Problem is, it has one arm. We think it will work, but if it looks ridiculous... You guys are so creative out here, what would you suggest we do to balance the sofa? Thanks!
The first two are the bargain. It appears to be the small portion of a slip covered sectional. Everything is top notch, down filled and so comfy. At $100, I thought it was worth an experiment.
This is the actual loveseat from pottery barn's website. The price is between $1100-3100.

Put a little side table at the end that has no arm. Just big enough to hold a cuppa. If you pick the right sort of table it will balance the look.

Carole is right about the side table. Or, if you are feeling feisty, build a small box, pad it, and cover it with similar fabric, and attach it to the sofa. That's how sofas are built - as boxes joined together. It depends on how much time & money you want to put in it.

Thank you! Oddly enough, her HVAC unit tucks into the side like we intended it to happen! AND when I brought it to her, even our hotel room had a one armed sofa, (with a small side table to set the cuppa 😉). It is perfect!

I see you have your answer but I was thinking you could also butt it up to a mirrored wall and that would balance it visually.

Maybe a Rolling/Slide table and she can use her laptop on it. I think Ikea has them or Target online...........great find

I'm very late in finding this question, but 2 ideas come to mind-put the lonely arm up against the wall or put a pretty table or chest ( I picture a Chinese- looking chest) against the arm.

She absolutely loves the couch! It works perfectly in her tiny apartment! She leaned a couple pillows against her air unit. Her and her friends don't even miss the arm! So many thanks for the suggestions!

What about finding old suitcases to use as a small table with legs next to it? Or as suggested before with big books, add legs after strapping the, together with leather belts. The holes will have to be drilled into the large books.
