I just happened to stop into Goodwill the other day, and found a totally perfect (and yet all by its lonesome) window panel. I was hoping for four, but bought it anyway, and ultimately decided to make two window cornices using materials from around the house.
Materials:

- Window panel

- Styrofoam insulation

- 2" Common nails

- Staple gun

- Picture hanging hardware

- Push pins

- Glue gun (optional)
These cornices went together super fast, and were lightweight enough to hang really, really easily. I love the effect that they've had on the room!
