Easy Built-in Spice Rack {Bekvam Ikea Hack}

Everyone loves a good Ikea hack and who doesn't need more kitchen storage and a place to neatly organize spices?
What's great about this design is that it is a completely customizable project with super simple construction. The building blocks for this built-in are pre-made and inexpensive Bekvam Spice Racks from Ikea.
** I am aware that spices keep better in the dark, but I would rather have the spices I use very regularly stored neatly here than a jumbled mess in a very tight and cramped cabinet.
Here's how I took advantage of this valuable real estate.

I began by removing the shoe molding from the base of the cabinet.
Then I started framing out the sides with 2x4's.
Followed by several layers of wood and trim. Follow the link for the rest of the tutorial.

There is also a free cut file download of the labels I used. click here!
