Front step and sidewalk crumbled from rock salt.

I'm looking for an inexpensive way to fill in and smooth over my sidewalk and step that has the edges completely destroyed without forms. Is there anything out there that would work even for a year or two?

@Janet Pizaro I will look for the product and see if it will hold up my corners of my step. Thanks for the tip. I let you know if I find it. Carol

Lowes makes a concrete product just for that It comes in a small bucket and you just mix and put on broken area and smooth it.

Check out the concrete bond adhesive this HomeTalk community member used to fix his cement steps: http://goo.gl/lnEldi It may work for you too.

@Elise No I haven't done it yet. Winter is here now. Hope to do it in the Spring. My son has different ideas but not sure what to help with the cost.

I answered this once but my answer isn't here, Rust-Oleum Restore would hold it for a couple years, longer if you prepare your surface right! It is really good stuff. You can get it at Lowes. And when you replace your concrete, remember to wait at least 5 years before you use any ice melt product on it, unless you paint it.
