I bought these fabulous canvas camp chairs but the canvas makes a farting noise every time I move!! The canvas is wrapped around metal side bars for the seat.I tried some baby powder but that didn't work at all. HELP!!

    WD40 will stop the squeak

    Blame it on the dog.

Have you tried wax from a candle? [on the metal under the fabric] WD-40 is sort of greasy. I think I get why it might work, but it would come off on one's clothes. And Linda Smith is right. ;-)

I've got a moon chair / Papasain chair and I'm having the same problem with it! It's driving me crazy! Have you had any luck?

The chairs are making this noise because the canvas has been stretched or warped out of alignment from when it was originally put on flatter and tighter. When someone begins sitting down, their weight causes air to get trapped into the stretched out areas. When they sit down with their full weight into the chair, the air is forced out making the noise. (Like Whoopie Cushions)

The solution to this situation is to either tighten up the canvas, which would involve removing from the metal frame, pulling it, and re-attaching it, or to replace the canvas with new altogether.

Flipturn is correct down to the science. Replace canvas or, for what its worth, get new chairs.. I myself am going insane with my patio chairs.. in the middle of apartments its extremely loud and unpleasant.
