Customized Headboards

This is a project I have been thinking about for ages: create and customize your own headboards! I was in the process of re-decorating my guest bedroom and this project was part of it.
Finding pallets planks is so far easy and costless; most of them are thrown away on construction sites or warehouses.
I took them home and disabled them all, removing uncountable rusted nails! I sanded every plank of wood and stained them walnut. Once dry I assembled all the pieces with flat joints.
Painting work came afterwards using A. Sloan Old white and a range of blue tones.
The other piece is a reclaimed old window/door from an Spanish manor with its original lock! The shape was fine. I only had to clean and apply treatment to prevent wood worn.
I cleaned the lock but leaving some of the original paint.
