Stenciled Quote on a Staircase

An old staircase needed a facelift in an old 1920 Summer cottage. I painted the risers white. The treads I painted a light green to match other decor throughout the cottage. It still needed a little something, so I stenciled a saying on it.
I searched on the Internet for a short saying that would be appropriate for the staircase. We have many visitors during the summer so I found a Maya Angelou quote, "I long to at home wherever I find myself." It seemed perfect!
I planned out the wording for each step. Then I marked the middle of each riser to line the words up. I also used a Celtic design to break up the saying and fill in the risers.
