When I bought this 1941 house people thought I was crazy. You could look at it and see It had been unloved it for years. What attracted me to the listing was the 165 acre wildlife refuge just outside my 1/4 acre backyard, a remnant of the original prairie lands filled with flowers, wild animals, birds and pollinators.
I knew I had to have it the first time I drove up. I saw not what it was, but what it could be.
I've added a new door, screen door and shutters.
Suggested materials:
  • Custom made screen door
  • Shutters made from fence pickets

DJ Matthews Lockhart , TXI already wrote that it looks like the home I moved into when I was 5 in 1945 in San Antonio. My folks did some work on it and some flowers, but you did much more. Good job. I haven't seen my childhood home in years. An expressway has been built by it.
