Traditional Living Room Makeover

Potentially Chic
by Potentially Chic
We have been working on a living-dining room redesign over the past few months with a wonderful couple. They both had some family furniture pieces to incorporate in the plan but needed some help with pulling it all together. They wanted traditional with a twist, so we set out to create a design plan just for them.
The room was quite outdated...it's pink walls, heavy drapery over those gorgeous windows, and thick carpet had to go.
This entire space is acutally a living and dining area, but we are going to focus on the living area in this post. We'll share the dining area soon.

So, back to the plan. We decided on a greige and navy pallete for the walls and decided to add some architectual detail with crown molding with chair rail and wainscotting in the dining area. The actual colors are Sherwin Williams Naval and Requisite Gray.
See that chandelier...swoon worthy. We'll get to that when we talk about the dining room, but we just wanted to show the color pallate here.

Next was new floors to match the rest of the home. A dark hardwood was added and is absolutely beautiful.
