Mid-century Modern Dresser

I found this grungy old dresser full of glue and fluff wrapped chewing gum (euww) I sat and looked at it for weeks and inspiration hit. Enjoy!
Please save me!
After cleaning and sanding and umming and ahing I decided to use the shapes that were there on the drawers

I used DIY black chalk paint on the bottom drawers and then mixed a soft grey for the inset and the top drawers.
Detail detail detail
Using the same black I stencilled the top drawers. I revamped the original hardware by painting it black.
A view from above.
Happily the top was in great shape after sanding, so after a long drink of teak oil it looks amazing. I added a pop of teal to the inside of all the drawers as a nice surprise. Who doesn't love surprises.
Ta Da! The finished piece
